Tai Chi

I have studied Tai Chi for 25 years with the Natural Way Tai Chi School with Alan Peck in Bristol. I have also studied Tai Chi with Dr. Shen Hongxun and more recently a course in 2011 with Master Zhang Jiali in Wudang, China.

My study of Qi Gong began at a similar time to that of Tai Chi. I practice a number to differing styles. Exercise sequences are developed in response to the needs of the group or individual.

My interest in yoga began when I was 18 years old. I have had two influential teachers, both based in Bristol. Chris Priest who is a student of T. K. V. Desikachar and Dominique Sakoilsky, who is a student of Vanda Scaravelli. I offer a gentle approach to Yoga that everyone can enjoy.

I have studied and practised a number of useful visualisation techniques that enable us to calm the emotions and settle the heart/mind. Visualisation techniques are used in the the teachings of Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Yoga. I have had many teachers. My main teachers of meditation have been from the Zen Buddhist tradition and Taoist tradition.
